Tape Tuesday featuring Ace of Clubs.

Now, as a girl in London, it's hard not to be enticed into London's nightlife scene.. as the saying goes, work hard, play hard, no? You name it, Cirque le Soir, Bonbonniere, The Box, Maddox, a few of my favourite West End clubs that have made the weekend's that much more fun.

It wasn't until, after a disastrous start of a night, where a meeting with a "promoter" resulted in my group of girls and myself having members of our group being rejected entry, that we had a tall, dread-locked stranger run to help. Queue a two year friendship with Jeremy Kyle, your big friendly west end giant - along with the company's director Nico and Ace of Clubs other incredible members, a girl will never feel more safe.

After many nights out with this tribe of hard working beings, I decided it was finally time to write about the experience, through a night out at the highly spoken about Tape, London. Based in Hanover Square just off Regent Street, in the spot which originally held Cafe kaizen, lies what can only be described as an unstated entrance that cleverly disguises the chaos that lies beneath. No huge lines, over-busy guest list, menacing bouncers, nothing that would make a girl feel intimidated. Arriving at 11.30, we were greeted by a member of Ace of Clubs at the door, along with several hugs and "how are you?"

Now to the club and the rest of the night. Having experienced many different club atmospheres, from the craze at the Box, to the ultimate show at Cirque Le Soir, I found Tape a lot more relaxing and for a girl in a large group of girls, more welcoming than most West End nightclubs. As soon as we reached the main club, we were shown our table by Ace of Clubs straight away, with no waiting and no disrespect, our glasses being filled straight away. Our promoters all greeted each other with hugs, dance offs and "hey man" and "how's it going?".. there was no kind of promoter sitting on his own in the middle of us girls texting or face-booking on his phone to find out where his other girls were.

The music started off chilled and mellow, with the DJ bringing in old school R'n'B, enough to get us in the mood for the night out, but not to make us feel like the atmosphere was false - as girls, we were still able to have a catch up and a laugh without feeling like we had to shout. As we progressed through the night, the music steadily grew, to remixing and to HipHop, clever movement which made sure to keep up with our moods. Don't get me wrong, the club had a great atmosphere, but not the sort of atmosphere where there was a hundred things going on at once - you could sit, you could stand and talk, you could stand at the bar, you could dance by the DJ booth, you could go up into VIP, without feeling like you were being elbowed out of the way by waiters or other girls. And the Ace of Club troupe are happy to talk, and were always there making their guests laugh.

The club itself has a lot of potential and with rumours of more to come, it is definitely the place to visit and experience, either for your mid week spontaneous need for a night out, or your saturday "girls night out." With no hassle or any kind of disrespect, this is one West End club that is getting it right.

As for experiencing these London clubs? I vote one company, and one company only. The Ace of Clubs. After all, how can you not be Ace?

Wrist Candy.

A watch. A key accessory for any girl, not least to keep track on time (we have iphones for that.) Daniel Wellington, Micheal Kors, Rolex, Cartier, you name it. The watch has become the key item to own - a leather or metal strap in a neautral tone, a clock face that either connetates minimalism or expense, it's the new girls best friend. And I think I've found mine.

Olivia Burton. Not a name that is instantly recognised, but definitely deserves the recognition. As a girl who has never possessed a watch, my girlfriends finally noticed and surprised me with a blush colour leather strap and large minimal face. Enough to be considered a rival to Daniel Wellington, the watch itself came in a protective velvet coloured box, which hid within a florally designed outer cardboard box. For those who like to keep it simple, this style also comes in a number of other colour tones, such as black, violet, navy blue and white. At a reasonable mid market price, the idea of simplistic luxury is easily buyable, making this particular wrist candy worth attention and consideration.
